Terms & Conditions of Hire:
When renting from IBC Bouncy Castles, inflatables, or other services, you must agree to the following terms and conditions of hire. A disclaimer notice will also need to be read and signed upon delivery.
Bookings are accepted based on your agreement to these Terms and Conditions of Hire. IMPORTANT NOTE: The IBC Bouncy Castles team will be the same group who collects the bouncy castle and equipment. DUE TO POTENTIAL THEFT, WE DO NOT SEND ANYONE ELSE TO COLLECT THE EQUIPMENT! (You will be fully liable for new replacements and costs due to NEGLIGENCE if the equipment is collected by anyone other than IBC Bouncy Castles. These Terms and Conditions of Hire for Bouncy Castles and Equipment adhere to standards set by the Health and Safety Executive and the Local Authority.
Please read them carefully. By booking online or over the phone, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.
Hire Agreement and Terms and Conditions of Hire:
- Age Restrictions: The equipment has an age limit as specified in the descriptions. Ensure no one over this age uses the equipment.
- Supervision: A responsible adult must always supervise the equipment.
- Personal Items: No shoes, glasses, sunglasses, jewellery, badges, etc. should be worn while using the equipment.
- Prohibited Items: No face paint, party poppers, confetti, coloured streamers, or silly string should be used on or near the equipment. (A £10 cleaning fee will apply).
- Prohibited Activities: No smoking or barbecues near the equipment.
- Safety Measures: Do not allow climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls of the equipment, as this is extremely DANGEROUS.
- Food & Drink: No food, drinks, or chewing gum on or near the equipment to prevent choking and mess. (A cleaning charge will apply if the equipment is returned dirty).
- Crowding: Do not overcrowd the equipment. Limit the number of users based on age and size and avoid mixing large and small children.
- Behaviour: No pushing, colliding, fighting, or any behaviour that could cause injury or distress.
- Prohibited Items on Equipment: No pets, toys, or sharp objects on the equipment. (Damage will incur a £50 repair charge).
- Running: No running from side to side, as this could cause the inflatable to dislodge and topple over.
- Bouncing: No bouncing on the front step. It is only for mounting and dismounting the equipment.
- Health Restrictions: Those with a history of back or neck problems, or anyone feeling unwell, should not use the equipment.
- Inflation/Deflation: Do not allow anyone on the equipment during inflation or deflation as it is DANGEROUS.
- Somersaults: Users should not attempt somersaults.
- Clearance: Ensure at least two feet of clearance on each side of the equipment and at least four feet at the rear.
- Weather Conditions: Do not use the equipment if it becomes wet on the jumping area unless it is fitted with a rain/shower cover. Do Not Use if Wet.
- Rain Precautions: If it rains, keep the equipment inflated and cover any electrical extensions. Dry any wetness with a towel.
- Blower Issues: If the blower stops working, ensure all users get off the equipment immediately. Check for issues like loose tubes or obstructions.
- Identification: Provide two forms of ID, with at least one showing a photo and your home address. For example, a driving license, passport, recent utility bill, or bank statement. Our delivery team may take a photograph of the responsible person with the equipment for security purposes (photos will be deleted upon equipment collection). We reserve the right to refuse hire if these conditions are not met.
- Payment: Have full payment in cash ready for the delivery team (unless pre-paid by cheque, bank transfer, etc.). We do not accept cheques or card payments upon delivery.
- Electrical Use: Only IBC Bouncy Castle equipment should be plugged into our extension cables. Any damage to electrical equipment will be charged at replacement value.
- Liability: IBC Bouncy Castles is not liable for any property damage (indoors or outdoors) during delivery or collection. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to provide adequate access and clearance and inform us of any underground services when securing the equipment.
- Supervision During Setup/Pack Away: The Hirer is responsible for supervising children or vulnerable adults during the setup and packing away of the equipment. IBC Bouncy Castles is not responsible for any injuries during this time.
- Cancellations: Please refer to our CANCELLATION POLICY PAGE for details on our cancellation policy.
- Setting Up/Packing Away Delays: We reserve the right to cancel your booking if delays occur due to:
- Gaining access
- Inadequate parking distances
- Excessive distances to the setup point
- Moving items (e.g., garden furniture)
- Clearing obstacles (e.g., washing lines)
- Waiting for cash withdrawal the delivery team may return later if necessary, which may affect your event timing.
- Right to Refuse Hire: We reserve the right to refuse hire if the Hirer or property is deemed unsuitable. Full payment is due if inadequate space is available for the equipment.
- Dirt Deposit: A dirt deposit may be required if there is a risk of the equipment becoming soiled (e.g., due to building works or excessive dirt). The deposit, typically £20-£30, will be refunded upon collection if the equipment is returned in its original condition.
Delivery Policy
Delivery costs will be revealed during the booking process based on your location. We may deliver outside the specified areas upon request.
If delivery is not possible due to adverse weather, vehicle failure, illness, or other factors, you will be informed as soon as possible, and a full refund will be provided.
Please ensure adequate space for our products and that the location is accessible and cleared of debris. No refund will be issued if we cannot deliver due to a lack of space or accessibility.
Overnight Hire Terms and Conditions:
- Security Requirements: Overnight hires require a secure garden (fenced and gated with a lock or bolt).
- Equipment Storage: Removable equipment like mats, extension leads, and blowers must be locked indoors or in a secure garage overnight.
- Covering the Equipment: The inflatable must be covered with ground sheets (if provided) to keep it dry and out of sight.
- Next Day Responsibilities: Inflate, dry, and clean the equipment by 8 AM the following day. Be available for collection between 7 AM and 12 noon.
- Damage Charges: You will be charged for any damages if the Overnight Hire Terms and Conditions are not met.
- Insurance: Our equipment is not covered by our insurance while in your possession. You are liable for full replacement costs in case of damage or theft.
- Refusal of Hire: We reserve the right to refuse overnight hires if we feel the security of the premises is inadequate.
